An Awareness Seminar on the Risks of Drug Abuse and Psychoactive Substances and Their Impact on Individuals and Society

The University Psychological Counseling Department at Al-Sibtain University organized an awareness seminar on 9 July 2024 entitled “Drug Abuse and Psychoactive Substances: Psychological and Social Impacts.” The seminar addressed the psychological, health, and social dimensions of substance abuse, highlighting prevention strategies and the importance of early awareness within university communities. It also discussed the impact of this phenomenon on the future of young people, the role of educational institutions in reducing its spread, and presented real-life experiences and recent statistics.
